Swiss Blue Surf came from that feeling you get standing at the edge of the water when a wave is about to break. That split second before everything moves at once.

I worked this one in layers, building up the blues and aquas slowly, moving the paint until the surface started to feel like it had weight and movement. The white came last, dragged through wet paint to create that surge of foam and light you get just at the crest. It took a while to know when to stop. That's always the hardest part.

There's something about this shade of blue that I keep coming back to in my work. It has a coldness and a warmth at the same time, like the Atlantic on a bright day

This is a one of a kind original. When it finds its home it goes with a certificate of authenticity, signed by me, and packed carefully so it arrives exactly as it left the studio.

Do you do commissions?

Yes, I am open to a small number of commissions. Please contact me with your thoughts.

Are your prints signed?

Yes, each print is hand signed and embossed. Limited edition prints are numbered and include a Certificate of Authenticity.

Can I visit your studio to view a painting?

Unfortunately no, as I travel a lot it’s not possible to visit in person.

How are your prints shipped?

All art prints are shipped rolled in tubes for safety. Remove only when ready to frame.
